AED’s are required at some Beaches & Swimming Facilities in NY State.

AED’s & Defibrillation

An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is a computerized medical device that can check a person’s heart rhythm, recognize a rhythm that requires a shock and it can advise the rescuer when a shock is needed.

AED’s use voice prompts, lights and text messages to tell the rescuer the steps to take.

Tracking & Oversight

AED’s are required in certain locations. It’s not enough to install it on the wall and forget about it until it’s needed. The unit also needs to be checked regularly to ensure that the batteries are charged and the unit is in good working order, so it’s always ready for use in an emergency. Eastern Med’s Tracking & Oversight program provides scheduled alerts and reminders to help you maintain your AED unit.

Our web-based tracking software monitors every aspect of your AED program and sends notifications when attention is needed. This ensures that you are always compliant with regulations and your AED’s are always ready to be used.

AED Training

We offer training programs from the American Heart Association that will educate your employees in the correct procedures for AED use. This AED curriculum can be combined with additional content such as First Aid & CPR to provide a comprehensive program.
